Viluppuram: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Rajendran S from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK) won the elections by a margin of 193367 votes. The polling / voting in Viluppuram constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Pattali Makkal Katchi#s Vadivel Ravanan and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi#s D.Ravikumar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won 37 out of the 39 parliamentary seat with 44.3 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 5.5 percent vote share.
