Palamu: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Vishnu Dayal Ram from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 263942 votes. The polling / voting in Palamu constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s V D Ram and Rashtriya Janata Dal#s Ghuran Ram

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 12 out of the 14 parliamentary seat with 40.1 percent vote share while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha managed to win just 2 seats with a 9.3 percent vote share.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate by a margin of 85125 votes BJP candidate Braj Mohan Ram had got 271657 while RJD got Jorawar Ram votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate by a margin of 80827 votes BJP candidate Braj Mohan Ram had got 317513 while RJD got Uday Narayan Chaudhary votes.

टीडीपी अध्यक्ष और आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने आज राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (एनसीपी) अध्यक्ष शरद पवार से मुलाकात की और उन्होंने नतीजे घोषित होने के बाद बीजेपी को सत्ता से बाहर रखने के लिए बीजेपी विरोधी मोर्चे को मजबूत बनाने पर चर्चा की. इससे पहले नायडू ने कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी से मुलाकात की थी.

कांग्रेस ने आचार संहिता के उल्लंघन के आरोपों में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को क्लीनचिट देने पर असहमति जताने वाले चुनाव आयोग के सदस्य अशोक लवासा के आयोग की बैठकों में शामिल नहीं होने से जुड़ी खबरों को लेकर शनिवार को मोदी सरकार पर निशाना साधा और आरोप लगाया कि इस सरकार में संस्थाओं की गरिमा धूमिल हुई है.
