Mahabubabad: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Prof. Azmeera Seetaram Naik from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the elections by a margin of 34992 votes. The polling / voting in Mahabubabad constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telangana Rashtra Samithi#s Maloth Kavitha and Congress Party#s Porika balram naik
