In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

মমতা-চন্দ্রবাবু বৈঠক শেষ। তৃণমূল সূত্রের খবর, ২৩ মে নির্বাচনের ফল বেরনোর পর মহাগঠবন্ধন-এর অন্য নেতাদের সঙ্গে আলোচনার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন তাঁরা।

২৩ মে লোকসভা ভোটের ফলপ্রকাশ হওয়া পর্যন্ত সাবধানী হয়ে অপেক্ষা করে থাকতে চান মায়াবতী। তারপরই তিনি পরবর্তী কৌশল ঠিক করার কথা ভাববেন। বসপা-র নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক একটি সূত্রে বলা হয়েছে এ কথা। সূত্রটি বলেছে, ভবিষ্যত্ কর্মপন্থা স্থির হবে নির্বাচনের চূড়ান্ত ফল বেরনোর পরই। সেই সময় পর্যন্ত তিনি (মায়াবতী) রাজধানী লখনউয়েই পড়ে থাকবেন। গতকালের বেশ কয়েকটি এক্সিট পোলের ইঙ্গিত, উত্তরপ্রদেশে ২০১৪-র লোকসভা ভোটে বিজেপির প্রাপ্ত একচেটিয়া আধিপত্যে এবার আঘাত করবে সপা-বসপা-আরএলডি জোট, যদিও তাতে কেন্দ্রে এনডিএ সরকার গঠনে কোনও সমস্যা হবে না। আজ সকালে মায়াবতীর বাসভবনে গিয়ে তাঁর সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন অখিলেশ। দুজনের ঘন্টাখানেকের রুদ্ধদ্বার বৈঠকের পর দুই শিবিরেরই সূত্রের দাবি, তারা বিজেপির ৩০০-র বেশি আসন পাওয়ার পূর্বাভাস দেওয়া এক্সিট ফল মানতে নারাজ। আরেকটি সূত্র বলেছে, আমরা (সপা-বসপা-আরএলডি) কিছুতেই ৫৫টার কম আসন পাব না, কেননা জোট দারুণ করেছে। আমরা ৬০ থেকে ৮০টা আসন আশা করছি। এক্সিট পোলের ইঙ্গিতের সঙ্গে সহমত নই।
