Chandauli: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 156756 votes. The polling / voting in Chandauli constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Mahendra Nath Pandey and Samajwadi Party#s Sanjay Chauhan

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

વર્લ્ડકપ 2019માં શ્રીલંકા સામે ન્યૂઝિલેન્ડનો 10 વિકેટે વિજય થયો હતો. આ અગાઉ શ્રીલંકાએ 29.2 ઓવરમાં 10 વિકેટના નુકસાન પર 136 રન બનાવ્યા હતા. જેના જવાબમાં ન્યૂઝિલેન્ડે 16.1 ઓવરમાં એક પણ વિકેટ ગુમાવ્યા વિના 137 રન બનાવી જીત મેળવી લીધી હતી. ન્યૂઝિલેન્ડનો બોલર મેટ હેનરી મેન ઓફ ધ મેચ રહ્યો હતો.

પ્રથમ મેચમાં શ્રીલંકાએ ન્યૂઝિલેન્ડને જીતવા માટે 137 રનનો લક્ષ્યાંક આપ્યો હતો. શ્રીલંકાની ટીમ 29.2 ઓવરમાં 136 રનના સ્કોર પર ઓલઆઉટ થઇ ગઇ હતી. શ્રીલંકા તરફથી સૌથી વધુ કરુણારત્નેએ 52 રન ફટકાર્યા હતા. ન્યૂઝિલેન્ડ તરફથી સૌથી વધુ વિકેટ હેનરી અને ફગ્યુસને ત્રણ-ત્રણ વિકેટ ઝડપી હતી. તે સિવાય બોલ્ટ, નિશામ,ડી ગ્રાન્ડહોમ, સેન્ટનરએ એક-એક વિકેટ ઝડપી હતી.
