Aligarh: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Satish Kumar from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 286736 votes. The polling / voting in Aligarh constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Satish Kumar Gautam and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Ajit Baliyan

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate by a margin of 80817 votes BJP candidate Sheela Gautam had got 219313 while BSP got Sahab Singh votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Samajwadi Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Sheela Gautam attained 292637 votes and SP's Captain Ku. Baldev Singh bagged 160938 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate by a margin of 91048 votes BJP candidate Sheela Gautam had got 233130 while BSP got Abdul Khaliq votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated JD candidate with a difference of 12475 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Shila Devi Gautam (W) attained 177161 votes and JD candidate Baldev Singh bagged 164686 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 78408 votes JD candidate Satya Pal Malik had got 233465 while INC got Usha Rani votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated LKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Usha Rani attained 216329 votes and LKD's Budhpriya Morya bagged 114098 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, JNP(S) candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 17978 votes. Here, JNP(S) leader Indra Kumari attained 128353 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Ghan Shyam Singh bagged 110375 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Nawab Singh Chauhan attained 280811 votes and INC's Ghan Shyam Singh bagged 90053 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, BKD candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 35881 votes. Here, BKD leader Shive Kumar Shastri attained 160198 votes and INC candidate Mohd. Younus Saleem bagged 124317 votes
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 18554 votes. Here, Independent leader S.K. Shastri attained 77284 votes and IND candidate R.M. Pratap bagged 58730 votes

मध्य प्रदेश और दिल्ली में एमपी के मुख्य़मंत्री कमलनाथ के करीबियों पर छापेमारी को लेकर पीएम मोदी ने निशाना साधा. उन्होंने कहा, ‘’कांग्रेस में भ्रष्टाचार ही शिष्टाचार है. आपने देखा होगा कल-परसों, कैसे कांग्रेस के करीबियों के घर से बक्सों में भरे हुए नोट मिल रहे हैं. नोट से वोट खरीदने का ये पाप इनकी राजनीतिक संस्कृति रही है.’’

सीपीआई नेता कन्हैया कुमार आज बेगूसराय से नामांकन भरेंगे. कन्हैया ने एबीपी न्यूज़ से कहा है कि ये लड़ाई हक बनाम लूट और सच बनाम लूट की है. इस चुनाव में जनता जीतेगी, जनतंत्र जीतेगा. कन्हैया ने आगे कहा कि आरजेडी मुझे वोटकटवा कहे लेकिन मैं ऐसा नहीं सोचता. ये उनकी समझदारी है. बेगूसराय की जनता का मुझे स्नेह मिल रहा है. मैं ये लड़ाई पहले ही जीत चुका हूं.

बहुजन समाज पार्टी ने लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए आज अपने उम्मीदवारों की तीसरी लिस्ट जारी की है इनमें छह प्रत्याशियों के नाम हैं. पहली लिस्ट में पार्टी ने 11 दूसरी में 6 उम्मीदवारों के नाम का एलान किया था. इस तरह पार्टी ने अब तक 22 उम्मीदवारों के नाम की घोषणा कर दी है. एसपी और आरएलडी के संग गठबंधन में चुनाव लड़ रही बहुजन समाज पार्टी 38 सीटों पर अपने उम्मीदवार उतारेगी.
