TISS Recruitment 2019:  Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is inviting online applications from Social Sciences and allied disciplines experts for various faculty posts. The country top institution aims to fill a total of 39 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. The selected candidates will be placed across the four TISS campuses, including the Main Campus in Mumbai and Off-campuses in Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad. The online application process is underway on the official website of TISS - tiss.edu, and will remain active till 15th June 2019, next month. Vacancy Details: Professor – 6 Posts Associate Professor – 10 Posts Assistant Professor – 23 Posts Total number of posts – 39 Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria (Desirable Qualification/Experience) vary for each of the aforementioned position as per the requirement of particular School/Campus. Step 1 – Visit the official website – tiss.edu Step 2 – On top of the home page, click on ‘Careers’ tab Step 3 – You’ll be redirected to a new page Step 4 – Click on the tab ‘Apply Online’ placed adjacent to “Advertisement for faculty positions” Step 5 – Register yourself, and enter the requisite details like email id and password to login Step 6 – Fill the application form, pay application fee and click on submit button Step 7 – Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference Direct link to apply for TISS Faculty Positions Application Fee: General/OBC/EWS – Rs. 2,000/- SC/ST/PwD (Divyang) – Rs. 500/- Selection Process: Candidates’ selection will be done on the basis of their previous record and performance in the interview. Supplementary methods like seminar, lecture, colloquium or any other mode may also be utilised by the institute as part of the selection process. The shortlisting of candidates for interview will be done on the basis of candidate’s previous record i.e. Academic Score. Candidates can check the details related to Academic Score in the Appendix II (Table 3 A) of the official advertisement. Only shortlisted candidates will be sent call letters on their registered email id to attend the interview. The final selection of candidate will be made on the basis of performance of candidate in the interview. Pay Scale: Candidates who will make it to the selection list will be paid as per 7th CPC matrix applicable for UGC Regulations, 2018 and subsequent amendments thereof.
