Odisha PSC Recruitment 2019 notification to fill 1950 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon) has been released by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on its official website – opsc.gov.in. The application for this recruitment drive is scheduled to be held on opsconline.gov.in from 10th January 2019 i.e. tomorrow till 31st January 2019, this month. The selected candidates will placed in Group A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Medical and Health Services Cadre under Health & Family Welfare Department. Important Dates: Online application process begins – 10th January 2019 Online application process ends – 31st January 2019 Last date to pay exam fee at SBI – 4th February 2019 Written Examination – 17th February 2019 Eligibility Criteria: The applicant must be an M.B.B.S. or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the MCI. S/he must possess a valid registration certificate under the Odisha Medical "Registration Rules 1965" as well as requisite conversion certificates recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in case of candidate having Degrees from Universities of Foreign Countries. Age Limit: The applicant must fall in the age bracket of 21 to 32 years as on 1st January 2019. Age relaxation rules apply as stated in the Official Advertisement of Odisha PSC Recruitment 2019 for Medical Officers. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a Written Examination which will be held in MCQ pattern for a total of 200 marks. The examination will be held in Cuttack/Bhubaneswar tentatively on Sunday, 17th February 2019. Pay Scale: The applicable pay scale for selected candidates will be Rs.56,100/- 1 of ORSP, 2017, Level 12, Cell-1 (PB - 3 in the pre-revised scale of pay of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + G.P. Rs. 5,4001- under ORSP Rules, 2008) with usual Dearness and other Allowances. Application Fee: Applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs.500. SC/ST candidates of Odisha and PwD (40% or more) candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
