PM Modi Virtually Distributes 71,000 Appointment Letters At Rozgar Mela Today

While addressing the Rashtriya Rozgar Mela today, PM Modi emphasized the collective efforts of the government and the private ecosystem to create more jobs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed 71,000 appointment letters at the Rashtriya Rozgar Mela today, April 13, 2023. Addressing the event, the Prime Minister said that “More than 70,000 youths have got govt jobs in various departments of the central govt, congratulations to all of you. The process of giving govt jobs in NDA and BJP-ruled states is going on at a fast pace. Appointment letters were handed over to over 22,000 teachers in MP yesterday itself.”

Underlining government efforts to create jobs and the startup ecosystem striving to create more employment, the PM further said that “On this auspicious day of Baisakhi, more than 70,000 youth got government jobs in various departments of the central government. As per a report, startups have generated 40 lakh direct and indirect jobs.”

“Atmanirbhar Bharat is generating jobs in the urban and rural areas of the country. The toy industry has been enhanced leading to the generation of new job opportunities,” he further added. He further stated: "To achieve the dream of a developed and modern India, the Union government is committed towards ushering the talent and energy of the youth into newer directions. In sync with the central goverment's objective and vision, several NDA-ruled states across the country have pacified the process of providing government jobs to youth."

Notably, the new recruits in the rozgar mela will be joining various posts in as many as 45 departments with joining locations in as many as 45 different places in the country. The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions/posts under the Government of India like Train Manager, Station Master, Sr. commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Inspector, Sub Inspectors, Constable, Stenographer, Junior Accountant, Postal Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant, Sr Draughtsman, JE/Supervisor, Assistant Professor, Teacher, Librarian, Nurse, Probationary Officers, PA, MTS, among others.

Moreover, all the new appointees will also get a chance to undergo training through the Karmyogi Prarambh scheme which is an online orientation course for all new appointees who join various government departments.
