PM Modi To Distribute Appointment Letters To Over 51,000 New Recruits Today

PM Modi will address the appointment letter distribution ceremony virtually through video conferencing.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute appointment letters to over 51,000 newly recruited in various departments of the government today. Earlier this week, the PM’s office notified the distribution ceremony in an official statement. As per the statement, PM Modi will be distributing the appointment letters today through video conferencing. As part of the Rozgar Mela, the appointment letter distribution event will be held at 37 different locations across the country. The recruitment drive will see fresh recruits being inducted in various departments of the central government, state governments, and Union Territories, who are supporting this initiative, the PM’s office said. 

The new recruits who will be receiving their appointment letters today will be joining revenue, home affairs, higher education, school education and literacy, financial services, defence, health and family welfare, and labour and employment departments, among others. "Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfillment of the commitment of the prime minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. It is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development," news agency PTI quoted the official statement as saying.

The newly inducted recruits will contribute to the strengthening of the industrial, economic and social development of the nation through their innovative ideas and role-related competencies, and thereby helping realise PM Modi’s idea of developed India, the statement was further reported as saying. All the newly appointed employees will also have the opportunity to train and brush up their skills through the 'Karmayogi Prarambh' portal, the statement added. The Karmayogi Prarambh is an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal with a collection of over 800 e-learning courses designed in a learning format that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and from any device, it further added.
