India Post has announced a recruitment drive to fill 40,889 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts. Interested candidates can apply through the official website of India Post, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The registration process for the Gramin Dak Sevak posts at India Post has begun on January 27, 2023 and will end on February 16, 2023. Candidates will also have the opportunity to make edits or corrections to their applications from February 17 to February 19, 2023. 

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria and the selection process before applying for the post. 

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to apply for the Gramin Dak Sevak posts, candidates must have a Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard, with passing grades in Mathematics and English from a recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India, State Governments, or Union Territories in India. Additionally, candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 40 years old. These are the minimum requirements to apply for the posts.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of a merit list, which will be based on the marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard from an approved board. The marks will be converted to a percentage with an accuracy of four decimal places. To be considered for selection, candidates must have passed all subjects as per the respective approved board norms. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of this percentage. Application Fee: 

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. However, there are some exceptions to this fee. Female/trans-woman candidates and candidates from SC/ST categories are exempt from paying the application fee.
