IAF AFCAT 2021: 334 Vacancies Notified, Application Process Begins On June 1

IAF AFCAT 2021: The Indian Air Force has released an official notification for the recruitment of the Short Service Commission (SSC) in flying branch and permanent commission (PC) and short service commission (SSC) in the ground duty (technical and non-technical) branch. The online application process is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2021.
Once the registration process begins, interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for the positions online at afcat.cdac.in or careerindianairforce.cdac.in on or before June 30, 2021.
The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 334 vacancies, out of which, 96 vacancies are for the SSC flying branch, 137 for PC/SSC Ground Duty Technical Branch, 73 for PC/SSC Ground Duty non Technical branch, and 28 for PC/SSC Meteorology branch.
Educational qualification:
Candidates applying for the flying branch position must have passed the class 12 exam with a minimum of 50 percent marks each in math and physics along with a 60 percent mark in graduation degree. For ground duty (Tech), a candidate should have a BTech/BE degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks.
Application fee:
Candidates applying for the positions will have to pay the examination fee of Rs 250. However, candidates registering for NCC special entry and Meteorology are exempted from the payment of any fee.
Age limit:
Candidates applying for the flying branch must not exceed 24 years of age, while those applying for the ground duty, the upper age limit is 26 years as on July 1, 2022.
