A bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Subramonium Prasad said that considering the limited number of trains running presently, the required effort has to be made to provide these students confirmed tickets. It added that students can book tickets on the waiting list and inform the Railways two days in advance so that the authorities can do the needful. The bench also directed DU to file an affidavit stating the number of students who have registered for the second phase of exams. The university will also have to mention when the results of both phases can be announced. The next hearing of the matter will happen on September 22.
