CBSE Board Examinations 2019: Examinations of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are here and one of the most common sights across the country is our children going through exam anxiety. The nature of board exam experience is such, that even the most prepared students can get jitters on the exam day. To help students appearing for CBSE Class 10th and 12th Board Exams 2019 cope with exam anxiety, the Central Board of Secondary Education has joined hands with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Government of India to facilitate live streaming sessions from 3 pm to 4 pm on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday till 15th
March 2019, this month.
As per CBSE, the examination time must be celebrated as ‘Pariksha Parv’ and must be dealt with utmost peace of mind to give the best shot. The country’s largest school education board also shared that India distastefully stares at the world’s highest number of suicides committed by students due to ‘unbearable pressure of exams.’ As per data collected by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 26,476 students committed suicide between the years 2014-2016, out of which, 7462 cases (28.1%) were of student suicides due to failure in various examinations. CBSE highlighted that exam anxiety or stress could be associated with lack of preparation, lack of needed information, style of study, parents/peer pressure, amongst many other reasons leading to extreme steps taken by students like committing suicide or self-harm. NCPCR has released a list of prominent counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists and behavioural counsellors who’ll be taking these live streaming sessions in which students and parents can ask questions concerning their and the emotional wellbeing of their wards, respectively. These streaming sessions will be live on NCPCR’s official Facebook page and Twitter handle. Stress less and prepare well for Success, All the Best!Dr. Sangita Kumar, Psychologist, a Trainer, and Behavioral Consultant will be interacting with @examwarriors of India to manage the exam stress on 1st March, 2019.
