CBSE Results 2019: Delhi stands third, pass percentage up at 91.87; Mehak Talwar, Veeraj Jindal score 497/500

CBSE Results 2019: Delhi Education Minister, Manish Sisodia was quick to tweet the improvement Delhi Schools have shown in CBSE Class 12th Exam Results 2019. The capital of India, New Delhi bagged third rank region-wise with the pass percentage of 91.87%. The two other regions to surpass Delhi are Thiruvananthapuram at 98.20%, and Chennai at 92.93%. Delhi students pass percentage for CBSE Class 12th 2019 exams are fairly higher than All India Pass Percentage of 83.4%. The elated Minister of Education, tweeted, “CBSE Class XII Results: Delhi improves by 2.87% as compared with last year. (2019 - 91.87%, 2018 - 89%). Congratulations to all the teachers, parents and my dear students. You have made me feel proud.” Sisodia also congratulated Sunita Kejriwal wife of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, and Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani for their wards’ performance in CBSE Class 12 th Exams this year. CBSE Class 12 Results 2019: Smriti Irani is a 'gloating mom' as son scores 91% in best of four Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Son Pulkit shines with 96.4% in CBSE Class XII board exams While the CBSE Class 12th toppers are two girl students from the state of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi’s Mehak Talwar of DPS Rohini scored 497/500, along with Veeraj Jindal of Vasant Valley School, Vasant Kunj. These two Delhi students are among 18 students across the country to score third highest in CBSE Class 12th Exams 2019. In 2018, the government schools of Delhi had improved their pass percentage from 88.27% in 2017 to 90.64% in 2018. A total of 112826 students had appeared for the exams, out of which 102260 were declared pass. 72.17 % schools had attained pass percentage of 90% or above, while 86.67 % of schools had more than 80 % students passing the CBSE Secondary Schools Exams 2018. In the Delhi Outcome Budget 2019, Manish Sisodia who also chairs the post of Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi had assigned a quarter of the capital’s budget towards the education sector. A whopping Rs.15,000 Crore out of the total Rs.60,000 Crore budget was earmarked for the development of education in Delhi.
