WATCH: Car Washed Away In Panchkula As Rain Continues To Lash Haryana, Waterlogging In Several Areas

A car got washed away in Panchkula, Haryana, as river got flooded due to heavy rainfall.

A car which was parked in Haryana's Panchkula got washed away as rain lashed parts of the state fiercely on Sunday. As the river got flooded due to heavy rainfall, it washed the car away with its flow. The state has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past few days leading to the situations of waterlogging in many places. Parts of the state such as Jhajjar and the Delhi-Jaipur highway (NH 48) near Narsingh Pur Chowk witnessed waterlogging following the downpour, reported news agency PTI.

A visual from Panchkula showcasing the car getting washed away in the high current flood-river water has been doing rounds on social media.

In the half-a-minute video shared by PTI, a police officer was seen standing on the bridge built above the river. A towing truck was seen on the site which later attempted to pull the car out from the river. A few locals of the Panchkula area were also seen standing on the bridge along with the police official.

Severe waterlogging was seen in Jhajjar. Tyres of four-wheelers were submerged in the waterlogged area. People were seen on the waterlogged roads with bicycles and water level was almost up to their knees, as shown in the visual below.

Visuals that surfaced online from Ambala were comparatively better than Panchkula or Jhajjar as the roads weren't waterlogged there.

Visuals from the Delhi-Jaipur highway (NH 48) near Narsingh Pur Chowk showed the tyres of four-wheelers being completely submerged on the waterlogged highway of Gurugram.
