'Not Going To Bend': Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Claims BJP 'Asks Us To Join Them'

Arvind Kejriwal alleged on Sunday that he is being coerced to join the BJP amid an inquiry into AAP MLA poaching accusations.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday that he is being coerced to join the BJP. His comments came during an investigation into the Aam Aadmi Party's MLA poaching claims. After laying the foundation stone of new school buildings in Kirari, Rohini, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said: "They ask us to join BJP saying they'll spare us. I said I would not join the BJP... We are doing nothing wrong."

In his address at the occasion, Kejriwal also claimed that the BJP-led Centre spends only 4% of the national budget on schools and hospitals, but the Delhi government spends 40% of its budget on these each year. The Delhi Chief Minister also highlighted his incarcerated AAP colleagues, Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain.

"The central government spends only 4% of the national budget on schools and hospitals. Whereas the Delhi government spends 40% of its budget every year on schools and hospitals... Today all agencies are after us. Manish Sisodia's fault is that he was building good schools. Satyendr Jain's fault is that he was getting good hospitals and mohalla clinics built. Had Manish Sisodia not been working for the betterment of school infrastructure, he would not have been arrested. They created all sorts of conspiracies, but couldn't deter us," he stated.

Further slamming the opposition, CM Kejriwal stated: "When we go to inaugurate schools, mohalla clinics, and hospitals, people from other parties reach there to raise slogans against us. Today is an auspicious day because four schools are being inaugurated. 'Aaj toh kam se kam yeh gandi rajniti na karo'."
