MCD Polls: BJP To Release Manifesto Today, Houses For Slum Dwellers, Benefits For Women Likely On List
MCD Elections Delhi: BJP 'Sankalp Patra' could focus on improvement of MCD schools, ease in the issuance of trade license, and end of factory license.
The Bharatiya Janta Party will release its manifesto for the Delhi Civic Body polls on Friday. It will be released by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Delhi BJP Chief Adesh Gupta at 11 am. The party has named its manifesto ‘Sankalp Patra’ which, the party claims, has been prepared after taking opinions from Delhi residents through meetings and websites.
BJP also reached out to RWA, traders, small-large businesses, and women to gather their opinions to document the manifesto. BJP sources tell that the ‘Sankalp Patra’ gives special focus to women, businesses, and youth while emphasising on cleanliness, house tax, and school education.

BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ is majorly based on the following:
- To completely digitize the MCD and delivery of services through mymcdapp in a time-bound manner.
- Deduction in house tax for women.
- Facilities for traders through trade license.
- Transparent rules will be made for the issuance of trade license. Any trader, be it from authorised or unauthorised colony, will not have to come to the MCD office time and again.
- Factory license could be ended.
- Better facilities for further education of girl students of MCD schools, coaching facilities for them.
- Janrasoi would be opened in Delhi to provide food below the price of Rs 5.
- MCD schools will be further improved.
- The work of giving houses to slum dwellers will be continued. So far, 3000 houses have been given to them, more houses will be given to slum dwellers.
- Campaigning for the MCD elections is at its peak with AAP, BJP, and Congress trying their best to woo the voters.
The Aam Aadmi Party has already released its ‘10 Guarantees’ for the MCD polls while Congress has put forth its ‘Vision Document’ titled “Congress Vision MCD-Meri Chamakti Delhi”. Now, the BJP will release its ‘Sankalp Patra’ on Friday.
Delhi MCD will go to polls on December 4 while counting will be done on December 7.
