Heatwave In Delhi Abates As Heavy Rain Brings Relief; Check Out IMD's Monsoon Forecast For The Week
As per the India Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR and adjoining regions are likely to receive rainfall over the weekend.
Heavy rains lashed several parts of Delhi on Thursday bringing much-needed respite from the sultry weather conditions. Visuals shared by news agency ANI showed heavy downpours in areas like Sarita Vihar and Munirka. As per the India Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR and adjoining regions are likely to receive rainfall over the weekend.
As per the weather department, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are likely to receive fairly widespread and widespread rainfall for the next seven days.

After a spell of punishing heatwave, it was only last week that the temperatures in the city dropped below 40 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 31.6 degrees Celsius, 3.7 notches above the season's normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
