Kejriwal Issues Second Order From Jail. BJP Calls It 'Fabricated', Lodges Complaint

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who became the first incumbent CM to be arrested, issued his second order from the jail which was dubbed "illegal" by the BJP.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate, issued a second order from the jail, said Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday. The Delhi CM was arrested by the enforcement agency on March 21 in a money laundering case linked to the excise policy case.

"Even from the ED custody, Delhi CM is worried about the health care of the state... He is worried that because he is jailed, the people of Delhi should not suffer because of it," Bharadwaj said in a press conference on Tuesday.

"The CM has received information that people are facing difficulties in the tests carried out at the Mohalla clinics. He has directed me to take steps to resolve this," he said

"I want to ensure the people of Delhi that even if your CM is in jail, he is only thinking about you...," Bharadwaj said.

On Sunday, Kejriwal who became the first incumbent chief minister to be jailed in India's history, issued his first order from the jail.

The Bharatiya Janata Party was, however, quick to launch an attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal dubbing the Tuesday orders as "fabricated" as well as "illegal" and "unconstitutional".

The saffron party alleged that the order did not carry the order number, date, and signature.

"The order is without number, date & signature. It clearly shows unauthorised use of power," said BJP national secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

"Moreover, Kejriwal Ji, currently in remand, lacks the legal capacity to issue such directives without court permission, which hasn't been granted," he said.

"This order is illegal & unconstitutional; we demand an inquiry as to who is misusing CMO and for what personal gains," he added.

Sirsa also said that he has lodged a complaint with Delhi Lieutenant Governor and the Enforcement Directorate.

"I've filed complaints with @LtGovDelhi and @dir_ed
about a Fabricated official order on Delhi Govt letterhead, supposedly from CM Arvind Kejriwal, who's in ED remand until March 28," said the BJP leader.
