Samajwadi Party Leader Zaheer Salmani’s Wife Shot Dead In Uttar Pradesh's Hapur, Probe Underway

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and property dealer Jahir Salmani's wife Nazreen was fatally shot by an assailant who entered her house.

In the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh, Nazreen, the wife of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and property dealer Jahir Salmani was fatally shot. According to initial information, Salmani's wife, Nazreen, sustained three gunshot wounds, two to the head and one to the chest. She was rushed to Devnandini Hospital in Hapur in critical condition, where medical professionals pronounced her dead upon arrival.

According to inputs, Nazreen, aged 38, was the second wife of SP leader Jahir Salmani and resided in Samiya Garden on Bulandshahr Road. Nazreen was alone at home in the afternoon when an assailant entered the house and started firing indiscriminately at her. Three bullets hit Nazreen during the firing. Nazreen was taken to Devnandini Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared her dead.

A video was shared by news agency PTI where the police were seen taking the dead body into a vehicle.

UP Crime: Nazreen's Body Sent For Post-Morten Examination As Probe Begins

Following the tragic incident, Hapur Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Verma, along with a team of police officers and forensic experts, arrived at the residence of the SP leader to initiate investigations. The body of the deceased woman has been taken into custody for post-mortem examination.

As per initial information, Samajwadi Party leader Jahir Salmani was in Meerut for property dealings and was unaware of the events transpiring at his home. Upon returning, he was informed that his wife had been injured and taken to the hospital.

The police and forensic team have gathered evidence from the room in the house.

SP Abhishek Verma assured that the police are diligently working to track down the suspects involved in the crime. Currently, the body of the deceased woman has been sent for post-mortem, and efforts to apprehend the assailants are underway.
