New Delhi: A 53-year-old man killed all five members of his elder brother's family, including two minor kids in Odisha's Cuttack district over a property dispute, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place at Kusupur village under Mahanga police station. After killing his brother's family, the accused surrendered at the Balichandrapur police station, which is nearer to his village.
On Tuesday afternoon, Shiva Sahoo surrendered and said he had committed the crime angrily the previous evening after he was attacked by his senior sibling's family on the earlier day over a protracted dispute, Balichandrapur police controller Ramakanta Muduli said.

In a video that went viral later, Shiva Sahoo said, "I had lost my cool after I was thrashed by each member of my elder brother's family."
The deceased are Alekh Sahoo (55), his wife Smruti Rekha Prusty (50), their daughter Sandhya (18), and sons Saurav (12) and Sai (8).
Police said Shiva Sahoo on Tuesday morning locked the house from outside, made a video using his phone describing the occurrence, and afterward went to the police headquarters.
Cuttack (Rural) Superintendent of Police B Jugal Kishore said a case has been registered and an examination has begun.
Villagers said that the two siblings were in constant disagreement over some property dispute.
