Accordingly, the highest waves of this monsoon will rise on June 26. The Municipal Corporation administration once again appealed to the citizens not to go near the beaches during the high tide period on all the days of high tide and to strictly follow the instructions issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation from time to time in this regard.
Mumbai Rains
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow alert for Mumbai today, warning residents to prepare for moderate to heavy rainfall that could lead to waterlogging and traffic delays, especially in low-lying areas.
Intense rainfall lashed the city late Monday night, submerging several parts of Mumbai and disrupting vehicular movement across key roads. Commuters on Tuesday morning faced long delays due to traffic snarls and flooding, particularly in low-lying regions.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also sounded a high tide warning, advising citizens to stay alert and avoid venturing out unnecessarily during peak tide hours.
Rain To Continue Through the Week
According to the IMD, Mumbai will continue to experience rainy conditions over the next few days, with some easing in intensity on Wednesday. However, the sky will remain overcast, and light to moderate rain is still expected in parts of the city.
Temperatures on Wednesday are likely to range between 27°C and 31°C. On June 27 and 28, showers will persist, with slightly cooler temperatures, as the mercury is expected to hover around 29°C (max) and 23–24°C (min).
