Rahul, while setting the cars ablaze, allegedly broke the windows, opened the doors, and used the interior materials to set the vehicles on fire. He was accompanied by his gang members.

A jilted lover set three cars on fire and damaged one motorbike in south Bengaluru, in what is being suspected to be an act of vengeance.
Two of the three cars gutted in the incident reportedly belonged to the girl's parents, while the motorbike belonged to her elder brother. Another car parked next to one of the targeted cars was also gutted. The incident took place after Saturday midnight in the limits of Subramanyapura and Channamanakere Achhukaatu police stations, the Times Of India reported.
The suspect has been identified as history-sheeter Rahul alias Star Rahul from Hanumanth Nagar. According to police, he is a cabbie by profession and is facing 18 criminal cases, including those for attempted murder, drug peddling, and robbery.
Rahul had been shot in the legs by the cops in January 2022 when he attempted to attack them when they had come to arrest him. He is said to be a close associate of another history-sheeter Kullu Rizwan. Rahul, while setting the cars ablaze, allegedly broke the windows, opened the doors, and used the interior materials to set the vehicles on fire. He was accompanied by his gang members, police told TOI.
Preliminary investigation revealed tha Rahul was in love with a girl, a final-year undergraduate student. He was angry after she distanced herself from him a while ago.
What Had Happened
On Sunday, Rahul along with three of his associates, went on three bikes to the girl's father's house at around 12.30 AM, where he is said to have called out to her father and her elder brother, accusing them of influencing the girl to distance herself from him. Thereafter, he also allegedly assaulted the girl's brother, the report said.
Rahul and his associates then set the girl's father's car on fire and damaged her elder brother's motorbike. Thereafter, the gang rode to an apartment in Arehalli, Subramanyapura, where the girl lived with her mother. "
"Rahul made futile attempts to communicate with the girl. Then, he and his associates set the girl's mother's car, parked in the basement of the apartment, on fire and fled. The flames extended to another parked car," an investigating officer told TOI.
Apartment occupants tried to douse the flames, but by then the girl's mother's car was completely damaged. The suspect even assaulted the apartment's watchman when he tried to stop him. Police said that separate complaints have been lodged by girl's brother and the owner of the third and a hunt is underway to trace and nab the accused and his accomplices.
