After a woman drowned in the Ganga River while filming a reel in Uttarkashi, another incident surfaced in Uttarakhand, where a young man lost his life under mysterious circumstances after falling into the Ganga during a rafting trip in Rishikesh.

Police stated that Sagar Negi, a resident of Nehru Colony in Dehradun, jumped off a raft near the Brahmpuri stretch, lost consciousness in the water, and was rescued by a rafting guide along with other participants, according to a report by TOI.

He was rushed to the civil hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. A postmortem examination is currently underway. According to Senior Sub-Inspector Yogesh Pandey, the incident took place when a group of six people had come to Muni Ki Reti for a rafting excursion.

The deceased has been identified as Sagar Negi, who belongs to Dehradun. The incident was captured on video and surfaced on social media, sparking concerns about the safety of the rafting.
