Man Wanted In 1992 JJ Hospital Shootout Case Nabbed After 32 Years In Uttar Pradesh
The attack was aimed at killing Arun Gawli's gang member, Shailesh Haldankar. During the attack, Haldankar, along with two policemen assigned to protect him, was also killed.
A fugitive involved in the 1992 JJ hospital shootout has been arrested after 32 years in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The arrested individual identified as Tribhuvan Singh, also known as Pradhan or Shripati Shrikant Rai, aged 62.
The shootout which took place on 12 September 1992, resulted in the deaths of three people. According to police sources, Tribhuvan Singh was present during the incident took place and he also fired several rounds from an AK-47. In the shootout, around 500 bullets were fired, marking the first recorded use of an AK-47 by a gangster in India.
The attack was aimed at killing Arun Gawli's gang member, Shailesh Haldankar. During the attack, Haldankar, along with two policemen assigned to protect him, was also killed. His murder was an act of revenge for the killing of Dawood Ibrahim's brother-in-law, Ismail Parker, who had been murdered by the Gawli gang days earlier.
