UP Weather Update: Rain With Strong Winds And Lightning Likely In UP, Says IMD
The weather in Uttar Pradesh may change on Thursday, with several districts expected to experience rain. The weather department has issued an alert and advised people to stay indoors.

UP Weather News: Temperatures have been rising in Uttar Pradesh for the past few days. During the day, people have been feeling the heat rising. The nip in the air is being felt in the morning and evening. But now, there is a possibility of a change in weather in the state on Thursday. An alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms with rain during the day. The effect of the Western Disturbance will be seen in many districts of the state. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of rain and lightning in many districts of the state. On the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, parts of Western UP saw some rain.
Earlier on Wednesday, the capital Lucknow's temperature reached close to 30 degrees. On Wednesday, Lucknow's maximum temperature was recorded at 29.7 degrees Celsius.
According to the information received from the IMD, rain will occur in some districts till 8:30 AM on Friday. Along with this, lightning may also be seen. The state has been alerted by the IMD and people have been asked to be cautious. "There is a possibility of Thunderstorm/lightning at isolated places in western Uttar Pradesh on February 20 and there is no warning in eastern Uttar Pradesh," a bulletin from the IMD read.
The department has advised people to avoid going to open places and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from lightning.
