UP Weather Forecast: Rain And Dust Storm Alert Issued For 22 Districts

Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast: Western UP is likely to have dry weather, while eastern UP may see thunderstorms and rain in the next few days.

UP Weather News: The weather in Uttar Pradesh has changed for the better. On Monday, parts of eastern UP received showers with strong winds, bringing some relief from the heat. As a result of the rain, a significant drop in temperature was recorded in Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, and Agra divisions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rainy weather is expected to continue for a few days, keeping a heatwave at bay. Rain is expected in both divisions of the state until May 4.

According to the IMD, the western UP is expected to remain dry on Tuesday, but there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in many areas of eastern UP. Strong winds will blow at speeds of 25-35 km per hour, while a warning has also been issued for lightning with thunder in some places. Rain is possible on Wednesday in both eastern and western divisions. A dust storm warning has also been issued in the state until May 4.

IMD has forecast a drop of 2 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature in the next 24 hours. However, there is unlikely to be any major change in the minimum temperature. Sunday was the hottest day in Ballia. The maximum temperature here reached 42 degrees Celsius, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Kanpur city at 18.4 degrees Celsius.

Rain Expected In Multiple Districts

There is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunder on Tuesday in one or two places in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. Along with this, rain may occur in many places in Balrampur, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur and Deoria. In these areas, dust storms will blow at a speed of 25-35 km per hour with thunder.
