UP: Bulandshahr Constable Stabbed By Teenaged Son For Refusing Car Keys

A Class-10 student from UP's Bulandshahr stabbed his constable father to death for not giving him the car keys. In Maharashtra's Latur, a 16-year-old boy stabbed his uncle after an argument.

UP Crime News: The Yamunapuram Colony in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr woke up to a shock on Thursday when the news of a Class-10 student stabbing his constable father spread. The incident occurred in the Bulandshahr Kotwali (rural) area, where the minor stabbed his father to death with a knife for not giving him the car keys. Praveen Kumar, a constable with the UP Police, was being rushed to a hospital for treatment, but he died on the way. The deceased's wife and father-in-law were present at home at the time of the incident.

Constable Praveen Kumar's father-in-law Vishanbharn Dayal said Praveen's son was asking for the car keys to go out. However, Praveen refused. This led to an argument between the two.

Angered at the refusal, Praveen's son brought out a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Praveen in the chest. The knife purportedly pierced Praveen's heart and a large amount of blood started gushing out of the wound. Praveen immediately collapsed to the ground.

The minor son was taken into custody by the police. Bulandshahr city SP Shankar Prasad said that the deceased, head constable Praveen Kumar, was posted at the Power Corporation. He lived with his family in Yamunapuram area.

Boy Stabs Uncle In Maharashtra's Latur

In a similar incident, a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody for allegedly stabbing his uncle following a disagreement in Latur, Maharashtra, reported news agency PTI. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning near the Arvi area on the outskirts of the city.

The 42-year-old victim had visited his sister-in-law’s residence to retrieve his Aadhaar card and some bank documents that were reportedly in her possession. However, tensions rose when she denied having the documents and verbally abused him, an officer from the MIDC police station was quoted as saying.

The argument quickly escalated, and during the altercation, the woman’s teenage son allegedly stabbed his uncle in the back with a knife. The victim was severely injured and later succumbed to his injuries, according to the police.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s wife, both the boy and his mother were detained and charged under relevant legal sections. The boy admitted to committing the crime, the police said.
