More Than 20 Delhi Schools Get Bomb Threats Via Email, Says Police

Delhi Police and Fire Department launched investigations after bomb threats were reported at Richmondd Global School in Paschim Vihar and Abhinav Public School in Rohini Sector 3.

A bomb threat was reported at Richmondd Global School in Paschim Vihar, prompting an immediate response from the Delhi Police and Fire Department. Another threat was also received by Abhinav Public School in Rohini Sector 3. Authorities are currently investigating both incidents.

Wave of Bomb Threats Targets Over 20 Delhi Schools And A College

More than 20 schools across Delhi, including Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, received bomb threats via email, prompting swift responses from the police, bomb disposal squads, and fire services. The threatening emails, some of which included disturbing language and references to suicide, led to temporary school closures and full sanitisation of premises, though no explosives were found during thorough searches. This wave of threats follows similar incidents earlier in the week affecting schools like St. Thomas, Vasant Valley, The Mother’s International, and even St. Stephen’s College, although authorities have so far found nothing suspicious. Investigations are ongoing.

According to the Police the bomb threat letter said, " Hello. I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms. The explosives are skillfully hidden, in black plastic bags. I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I will watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and to be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children."

"You all deserve to suffer. I truly hate my life, I will commit suicide after the news, will slit my throat and slit my wrists. I was never truly helped, psychiatrists, psychologists, no one has ever cared and no one will ever care. You only care about medicating the helpless and clueless humans' psychiatrists never tell you that those meds ruin your organs or that they cause disgusting weight gain. You brainwash people into thinking psychiatric meds can help them. But they don't. I a living proof that they do not. You all deserve this. You deserve to suffer just like me," the letter read.

Earlier, on Wednesday morning, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya announced it would remain closed for the day as advised by the police.

According to officials, the schools that received threats include St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, The Mother's International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate.

Earlier Threats This Week

Earlier also, at least five schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning—the third such instance in as many days, according to the police.

While all the emails were later declared hoaxes, authorities carried out thorough searches as a precautionary measure under the standard security protocol.

The threatening emails claimed that explosive devices had been planted on school premises. Schools that received the emails on Wednesday included St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodi Estate, according to Delhi Police.

Notably, St. Thomas School received similar threat emails on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Emergency response teams—including personnel from the Delhi Fire Service, local police, and bomb detection and disposal units—were dispatched to the schools. Students who had arrived were evacuated and moved outside the campus gates, while their parents were promptly informed.

Statement From Police On Earlier Threats

“We received alerts from the schools early in the morning regarding the emails,” said a senior police officer. “Teams from the bomb squad and the special cell were immediately deployed. So far, nothing suspicious has been found. We’ve ensured all parents and school staff were kept informed.”

The mail read, "Explosive devices are hidden inside backpacks and placed around the classrooms of the school. This is extremely serious. You will all pay for your sins. Roadkill and Benji are the persons responsible for this bloodbath. Release our names to the press/media."
