4 Dead, 3 Injured After Car Rams Truck On Delhi-Dehradun Highway
A car and a truck collided on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in UP's Muzaffarnagar on Thursday, claiming the lives of at least four people. Further details are awaited.
At least four died and three others were injured after a car collided with a truck on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on Thursday in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar.
The accident happened early in the morning near Pancheda Bypass in Nai Mandi area, police told news agency PTI. Circle Officer Rupali Rao said that seven people were travelling from Aligarh to Auli in their Ertiga car which collided with a truck's rear side.
The deceased have been identified as Ratan (45), Bhola (30), Jugal (30), and Atul (26). All of them were from Aligarh district. Rao added that the injured persons have been hospitalised and are undergoing treatment. The details about about their condition are unkown.

Following the accident, the truck driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind. Police said that efforts are underway to locate and nab him. Further investigations into the incident are underway. The crashed vehicles have been removed from the road and normal traffic has resumed, police said.
Child Among 2 Killed As Tractor-Trolley Overturns In Budaun
In another incident, two including a three-year-old child were killed after a tractor-trolley overturned and fell into a roadside ditch on Tuesday in UP's Budaun.
Police said the incident took place at around 6 pm in Uparaela village in the Alapur area.
"The driver, Charan Singh (34), was hired by one Anokhe Lal, who owns a cement shop, to transport building materials. The child identified as Siddharth was Lal's son," police told PTI.
Singh was on his way to a local market along with Siddharth when he noticed a stationary truck on the road. Trying to avoid a collision with an oncoming motorcycle, Singh swerved the tractor-trolley and ended up losing his control, Alapur Police Station SHO Dhananjay Singh said.
Following this, the tractor-trolley overturned and fell into a ditch. The child died instantly. The driver was rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment.
