Maharashtra: Teacher Faces FIR For 'Assaulting' 11-Year-Old Boy In Thane School

A case has been registered against a school teacher for allegedly slapping an 11-year-old boy inside a classroom in the Thane district of Maharashtra, an official said on Friday. The incident took place on Monday ( January 13) at a school in the Bhiwandi area.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the official, quoting the complaint by the parents of the minor, stated that the teacher identified as Saif Iqbal Ansari, allegedly slapped the child after he moved to one of his classmates in order to take a book.

Further, the official from the Bhiwandi town police station added that Ansari was booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for voluntarily causing hurt and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act on Wednesday.

UP Teacher Assaults 8-Year-Old Boy

In a separate incident in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi on December 29, 2024, a school teacher allegedly assaulted an eight-year-old boy who found him watching porn in the classroom.

According to the police, the boy is a student of standard 2 and he caught the teacher watching an obscene film in the classroom. The teacher, Kuleep Yadav, got enraged when the students, along with the victim boy, reportedly began discussing about his act and laughing among themselves.

The accused teacher, in a fit of anger, then grabbed the boy by his hair and slammed his head against the wall. The police added that the teacher has been taken into custody for questioning and a probe is underway.

The child's father told that when his ward came to home after the school, the boy narrated the incident to his family. After this, the student's father took him to the police station and filed a complaint with the police.

The student's father has alleged that his son was brutally beaten due to which his ward has sustained serious injuries. The father has also said that due to the alleged thrashing of his son by the accused teacher, who was watching a porn video on his mobile phone in the classroom, his ward has sustained injuries in his ear.
