Meanwhile, visuals on social media showed foggy roads and low visibility as a thick layer of gas engulfed the city. However, ABP LIVE couldn't verify the authenticity of the video shared on social media.
A report in Lokmat Times said that the residents complained of eye irritation and throat discomfort.
There have been no reported casualties or injuries immediately after the incident. An official statement on the gas leak is yet to be issued.
