'Bihar CMO Run By BJP': Tejashwi Yadav Takes Dig At Nitish Kumar. BJP Responds

Tejashwi Yadav accused Bihar CM Nitish Kumar of being controlled by the BJP, alleging BJP leaders' influence in the CMO.

Taking a dig at the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Yadav recently said that the Chief Minister of Bihar is completely run by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Tejashwi also said that the Chief Minister Office (CMO) is controlled by the BJP leaders. Tejashwi's comment came in the backdrop of absence of BJP leaders in Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'Pragati Yatra.'

He further alleged that four big leaders of BJP in Bihar, two of whom are in Delhi and two in Bihar, are directly in touch with Home Minister Amit Shah, and are controlling the political activities of the state.

However, BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Samrat Chaudhary has hit back at Tejashwi's comment and said that Lalu Prasad Yadav's family is known for corruption and have looted Bihar. Terming Tejashwi's statement as unfortunate, Samrat Chaudhary further said that first Lalu Prasad Yadav made such statements and now his family members are making such statements.

This is not the first time that the former deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav and BJP leaders of Bihar have locked horns over the functioning of Bihar government.

A few days back, another Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Vijay Kumar Sinha accused Tejashwi's party Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) of rigging 70th BPSC examination. Tejashwi responded by saying that if RJD is leaking papers, then the current National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-led of Bihar should catch them and put them in jail. Tejashwi also termed Sinha as a "useless" Dy CM.

"No one has seen a more useless Deputy Chief Minister than him. They say RJD people leak papers, so catch them, will we catch them? Show proof, catch them and put them in jail with the help of CBI, IT and ED. Do they (govt) have any achievements?... Today murders and loots are continuing, banks are being looted and kidnappings are happening. These people are deputy chief ministers only on mercy... These people are harming Bihar," Tejashwi said.

A few months back also BJP and RJD were involved in a verbal spat where BJP accused Tejashwi of stealing sofas, beds and taps from the government bunglow at 5 Deshratna Road in Patna before vacating it. The RJD termed the allegations as false and said that the BJP, which is in the government, should release the list and after leaving the space they should see whether the items are there or not.
