Salman Khan Receives Fresh Threat: 'Pay Rs 5 Crore Or Meet A Fate Worse Than Baba Siddique's'

Salman Khan received a threat demanding Rs 5 crores to avoid meeting the fate of slain NCP leader Baba Siddique.

Actor Salman Khan has allegedly received a fresh death threat demanding to pay Rs 5 crores or have the same fate as Baba Sidique, the NCP leader who was shot dead in Mumbai last week. An FIR has been lodged in connection with the matter at Worli Police Station.

The message was received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police stating: "Don't take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddique's."

The incident comes close to the heels of the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique who was shot dead on October 12 in Mumbai's upscale Bandra outside his MLA son Zeeshan's office.

Four people have been arrested so far in connection with the incident including two shooters, Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap.

Salman Khan has been receiving repeated threats from the Bishnoi gang over the past few months over the hunting and killing of two blackbucks in 1998 allegedly by the actor.

Amid the developments, Salman Khan has been granted Y+ security and a large number of police personnel have been deployed outside Galaxy Apartments.

On Wednesday, a member of the gang was arrested in Haryana's Panipat during a joint operation by Navi Mumbai police and the state police.

The arrested accused, identified as Sukha Kaluya, was reportedly tasked to kill the actor. Kaluya had conducted a recce of the actor's house in Panvel before shots were fired at his Bandra apartment in April.

On April 14, two shooters fired five rounds outside Salman's residence and the Mumbai Police said in a charge sheet that the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had links with shooters.
