Photo Of 2.5-Inch Knife Lodged In Saif Ali Khan's Back During The Attack Released

A 2.5-inch knife fragment was lodged in Saif Ali Khan's backbone after an attack. The knife missed his central nervous system by just 2mm.

Saif Ali Khan walked into Lilavati Hospital with a knife lodged in his back.

The photo of the 2.5-inch part of the knife that broke off from the handle and remained lodged in Saif Ali Khan's backbone during an attack on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday has come to the fore. The impact of the attack broke the knife and lodged the knife deep into his back.

Lilavati COO Nitin Otmani and anesthesiologist Nisha Gandhi told ABP News that the knife missed the central nervous system by barely 2 mm. The doctors said Saif arrived at the hospital with his son Taimur and the latter's nanny. ⁠⁠He was worried about the children while talking to the doctor before administering anaesthesia.

The knife was handed over to the Mumbai Police after the operation. Based on CCTV footage recovered from the Satguru Sharan Apartments, where Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan live, the Bandra Police on Friday took a suspect into custody. However, the man only resembled the actual suspect and was not the actual assailant.

Previously, three members of the staff at the actors' household were detained for questioning. The police believe the suspect fled Bandra by a local train after the attack. So far, no arrest has been made.

The name of the person whom Mumbai Police is questioning is Shahid. Police detained him from Falkland Road in Girgaon. Shahid has four to five cases of burglary registered against him. However, it is not yet clear whether Shahid is the same person who attacked Saif Ali Khan.
