Bus Accident In Punjab’s Hoshiarpur Leaves 10 Dead, Several Injured
At least 10 were killed and 12 were injured after a bus overturned near Dasuya in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district on July 7. Rescue efforts are underway.

A road accident occurred on Monday morning (July 7) in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district, where a bus overturned in the middle of the road, leading to the death of 10 people and injuring at least 12 others.
The incident took place near Sagra Adda on the Dasuya-Hajipur Road in the Dasuya area. According to reports, the bus lost control and overturned, causing severe casualties. The injured have been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Dasuha.
Witnesses said the bus lost control and flipped over, triggering panic among passengers. Locals rushed to the spot after hearing the cries for help and immediately began rescue efforts. The police were alerted, and ambulances were called in without delay.
Police teams, with the help of residents, pulled out the injured and rushed them to the nearest hospital. Many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The vehicle involved was a minibus operated by a private company named Kartar Bus. While the exact cause of the accident is still unclear, authorities have launched a probe to determine whether it was due to driver error, mechanical failure, or other road-related issues.
Police said their immediate priority is to ensure medical attention for the injured and identify the families of the deceased.
Fatehgarh Sahib Accident
Monday's accident comes after another incident claimed the life of a man in Fatehgarh Sahib district of Punjab. The accident occurred near Adampur village, where an SUV collided with a parked truck.
The collision was so severe that Balwant Ram, who was driving the car, died on the spot, while his 12-year-old child, Sikander Singh, who was sitting beside him, suffered serious injuries. Police said the car was carrying fruits and vegetables from Himachal Pradesh to the vegetable market in Gurugram.
