Pune's Shivajinagar, Deccan Localities To Be Hit By Power Outage Due To Metro MahaTransco Work

Pune's Shivajinagar and Deccan areas will experience an eight-hour power outage on February 6 for Metro and electricity maintenance.

Maharashtra's Pune will experience power outages in different areas to facilitate work by the Metro and the electricity department. Residents of Shivajinagar and Deccan will experience a power outage on Thursday, February 6, from 8 AM to 4 PM due to electrical maintenance. This outage will be part of ongoing projects related to Pune Metro and the Maharashtra Electric Power Transmission System (MahaTransco), reported Lokmat Times.

The maintenance work will focus on high-voltage power lines along the Shivajinagar to Hinjawadi route, and several substations, including Ganeshkhind, Chinchwad, and GKRS in Kothrud, will also be impacted.

The power cut will impact various localities, including Ganeshkhind, Model Colony, Deep Bungalow Area, Wadarwadi, Gokhalenagar, Janata Vasahat, MIG Colony, Vaiduwadi, Janwadi, Vetalbaba Chowk, Mangalwadi, Senapati Bapat Marg, Ramanbagh Chowk, New Marathi School, Narayanpeth, Shivajinagar Gaothan, Junglee Maharaj Road, Rokdoba Temple Area, Laxmi Road, Kumthekar Chowk, Police Line Colony, Ghole Road, Modern College, Vijay Talkies, Revenue Colony, Shimla Office, All India Radio, District Court, Kamgar Putla, Metro Station, Sancheti Hospital, Thube Park, Aundh Gaon, Siddharth Nagar, Parihar Chowk, Bremen Chowk, Sanghvi Road, Om Super Market, Thorat Chowk, Wakdewadi, Sakhar Sankul Road, Chafekar Nagar, All India Radio Colony, Rahul Theater, Khairewadi, Dalvi Hospital, Ashoknagar, Range Hills Road, Kakade Mall, ABIL, Modibag, Chavannagar, Apte Road, Rupali Lane, Shirole Road, Pulachi Wadi, Sambhaji Garden, FC Road, Vaishali Hotel, Sutardara, Shivtirtha Nagar, Samrajya Nagar, Shikshaknagar, Jayabhavani Nagar, Kishkindha Nagar, among other areas.

Mahavitaran has notified registered consumers about the power outage through text alerts, the Lokmat Times Report said. Residents were advised to prepare for the outage and follow appropriate safety precautions during the maintenance period.
