One Killed, Another Injured After Gas Cylinder Explodes In Kanpur
The incident happened when a person was carrying the cylinder which exploded while being unloaded. While Surendra lost his life on the spot, his wife was injured and is receiving treatment.
One person has died while another has been injured after a gas cylinder exploded in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident happened in Sisamau when the deceased, Surendra, was carrying the cylinder which exploded while being unloaded.
While the man died on the spot, his 38-year-old wife who rushed to his rescue suffered severe injuries and has been hospitalised, the police officer said, adding no other person was injured in the incident.

"A person named Surendra was bringing the cylinder and the explosion occurred as the cylinder was being unloaded. Surendra died on the spot and his wife has been admitted to the hospital," ADCP Kanpur Mukesh Kumar said.
Officials said that the local police and forensic experts reached the spot shortly after the incident and the exact cause of the explosion was yet to be ascertained.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and further legal proceedings in the case are underway, they said.
