J&K CM Omar Abdullah Refuses To Sit On Bigger Chair At Jammu Event

During the event, the CM visited various stalls, interacting with farmers and discussing their concerns. The four-day event is being marked as a potential game-changer for the agricultural community.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and NC Vice President Omar Abdullah respectfully refused to sit in a chair specially arranged for him at an event because it was bigger than the other chairs.

According to a report by news agency PTI, Abdullah was at the inauguration of the four-day 'National Agriculture Summit and Kisan Mela' at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) in Chatha.

Upon noticing the oversized chair after he came on the stage, Abdullah requested the SKUAST management to replace it with a standard-sized one, earning applause from attendees.

Since taking office on October 16, Abdullah has focused on maintaining public accessibility, even instructing police to avoid creating 'green corridors' for his movement to minimise inconvenience to citizens.
