Odisha ED Deputy Director Chintan Raghuvanshi Arrested In Bribery Case

Raghuvanshi, an IRS officer, allegedly demanded Rs 50 lakh from a mine operator to remove their name from a money laundering case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Deputy Director of Enforcement Directorate in Odisha, Chintan Raghuvanshi in a bribery case. 

The official was arrested in Bhubaneswar for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20 lakh. 

The officer, who belongs to the Indian Revenue Services (IRS), reportedly inked a Rs 50 lakh dead with a Bhubaneswar-based mine operator to drop the latter's name from a money laundering case. 

Raghuvanshi was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 20 lakh — the first instalment of the alleged bribe.
