A man has been arrested for killing a woman with whom he was in a relationship in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. What's even more shocking is that the man killed the woman in front of her four-year-old son.

The incident took place on November 11 when the couple got into an argument, which eventually led to the woman's murder.

DCP Noida Central Shakti Mohan Awasthi told ABP News that the victim, Shilpi, was married to a man named Ajay and had a four-year-old son with him. They lives in Noida's Chijarsi village. However, the woman was involved with another man named Pradeep, who is the accused. She was reportedly in an extra marital relationship with him for three years, and Pradeep wanted her to leave her family and live with him.

He had been pressurising the victim to abandon her family to live with him. On November 11, when the victim's husband left for work, he went to meet her at her home. There, he pestered her again to leave her husband and son for him, to which she disagreed.

Following this, an argument started between them, during which, Pradeep strangled her to death in a fit of rage. Shilpi's son, who was sleeping in another room, woke up after hearing the noise and ended up witnessing his mother's murder.

He narrated the entire incident to the police during the counseling, after which the police arrested the accused from near Gadhi Gol Chakkar area. Further investigaton in the murder is underway.
