Police Response Prevents Further Harm
Ramesh managed to escape the attack and immediately dialed 112 for police assistance. Officers arrived promptly and brought the situation under control. Following the incident, Ramesh shared an open letter on social media, criticizing the society’s maintenance company for negligence. He alleged that despite paying regular maintenance fees, basic security services remain inadequate. He warned that without timely help, the incident could have turned fatal and demanded an urgent overhaul of the society's security arrangements.
Residents Outraged, Demand Action
The incident has triggered outrage among residents, who are now calling for stricter measures to prevent such occurrences. The growing menace of stray dogs has become a city-wide issue, with multiple cases of dog bites reported in recent weeks. Despite the escalating threat, local authorities have yet to implement any concrete steps to control the stray dog population. Vulnerable individuals, particularly the elderly and children, remain most at risk.
