Elderly Man Attacked By Pack Of Stray Dogs In Noida; Incident Captured On CCTV

Elderly man attacked by stray dogs during morning walk in Noida's Ajnara Homes; incident caught on CCTV, raising serious questions over society's security and civic response.

A shocking incident in Ajnara Homes Society, located in Sector 16B, has sparked serious concerns over residential security. On Saturday morning around 5:30 AM, resident Ramesh Chandra Gautam was attacked by a pack of stray dogs while out for a morning walk in the society's basement area.

According to reports, Ramesh was passing through the parking zone when several dogs surrounded him and began chasing him for nearly five minutes. He cried out for help, but the on-duty security guard was nowhere to be found. His chair was discovered empty, and CCTV footage captured the entire episode.

Police Response Prevents Further Harm

Ramesh managed to escape the attack and immediately dialed 112 for police assistance. Officers arrived promptly and brought the situation under control. Following the incident, Ramesh shared an open letter on social media, criticizing the society’s maintenance company for negligence. He alleged that despite paying regular maintenance fees, basic security services remain inadequate. He warned that without timely help, the incident could have turned fatal and demanded an urgent overhaul of the society's security arrangements.

Residents Outraged, Demand Action

The incident has triggered outrage among residents, who are now calling for stricter measures to prevent such occurrences. The growing menace of stray dogs has become a city-wide issue, with multiple cases of dog bites reported in recent weeks. Despite the escalating threat, local authorities have yet to implement any concrete steps to control the stray dog population. Vulnerable individuals, particularly the elderly and children, remain most at risk.
