Nitish Kumar Touches Bihar BJP Leader's Feet, Lalu Prasad Calls It 'Habit'

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's action of touching BJP leader RK Sinha's feet during Chitragupta Puja has sparked controversy. RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav slammed Kumar, calling it a "habit."

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's gesture of touching BJP leader RK Sinha's feet on the occasion of Chitragupta Puja on Sunday, November 3, has sparked a controversy. After the video of the incident went viral, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav took a dig at the Bihar Chief Minister.

Prasad Yadav, accompanied by his daughter Misa Bharti, was on his way to Hular Surya Mandir when he was asked about Nitish Kumar's act. "It has become his [Nitish Kumar's] habit," Yadav was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.

Former Rajya Sabha MP RK Sinha attended a programme organised on the occasion of Chitragupta Puja at the Adi Chitragupta temple located at Nojar Ghat in Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also present on the occasion. Nitish Kumar had supervised the arrangements and reconstruction of the temple. For this, RK Sinha thanked the Chief Minister. In return, CM Nitish Kumar touched RK Sinha's feet.

Addressing a crowd of devotees, RK Sinha said Nitish Kumar's attention to the temple made its renovation possible. In reaction to RK Sinha, praised Nitish Kumar a lot. At this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar got up from his seat and touched his feet. However, RK Sinha stopped him and tried to hug him. The Opposition is now raking up the issue to attack Nitish Kumar.
