Mussoorie's Famous Kempty Fall Turns Ferocious After Heavy Rain Lashes Uttarakhand: WATCH

Mussoorie Kempty Fall Video: According to IMD forecast, isolated hailstorms are very likely in Uttarakhand on May 1 and 3, with thundersquall winds (50-60 kmph) expected on May 3.

Mussoorie's popular tourist spot, Kempty Fall, was seen flowing in spate after Uttarakhand was battered by torrential rain on Sunday. The visuals of the overflowing waterfall, which appear to be quite scary, have surfaced on social media.

According to an alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, several areas in Uttarakhand, including Nainital, received constant rain last week. This caused sudden drop in temperatures, forcing tourists to cancel their plans and stay indoors. The incessant rain also caused trouble for school-going children. 

A huge amount of debris and stones also started falling into the falls from the hills as water gushed from the waterfall. 

Earlier, the IMD predicted that isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds, with speeds reaching 40-60 Kmph, Is likely to be witnessed over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan from May 1 to May 6.

The forecast stated that scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-60 km/h), is likely across Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from May 1 to May 6, 2025.

Additionally, isolated hailstorms are very likely in Uttarakhand on May 1 and 3, with thunderstorm and gusty winds (50-60 kmph) expected on May 3.

Delhi Weather Today

Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 23.2 degrees Celsius on Monday morning, which was 1.5 degrees below the season's average. The humidity levels were recorded at 63 per cent at 8:30 AM.

Aaccording to the India Meteorological Department, thunderstorm with rain are likely in the national capital today. The maximum temperature is likely to rise to 34 degrees Celsius.

Delhi recorded "moderate" air quality as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 137 on Monday.
