Mumbai: Times Tower In Lower Parel Catches Fire, Ops To Douse Blaze Underway
Mumbai building fire: A fire has broken out at the Times Tower in Mumbai. The cause of the fire is not known as this moment.
A massive fire broke out at the Times Tower a seven-storey commercial building-- in Kamala Mills compound in Mumbai's Lower Parel West on Friday morning (September 6). No injury has been reported so far. Firefighting operations are underway. Videos of the building showed multiple floors on fire.

As per reports, the fire started at 6.29 am, following which nine fire tenders were rushed to the commercial establishment. Tems of Mumbai police, ambulance services, and BEST supply ward staff have also been mobilised. The cause of the blaze is not known yet, and a probe is underway to determine that.
The fire brigade has declared it a level 2 (major) fire and sent eight fire engines and other fire fighting vehicles to the spot, news agency PTI reported quoting an official.
Previously, a massive blaze at a restaurant in the Kamala Mills compound on December 29, 2017, claimed the lives of as many as 14 people, while several others were injured in the incident. Operations of around three national news channels, including Times Now and ET Now, were reportedly affected by the incident as well.
