Mumbai: 4-Storey Building Partially Collapses In Bhendi Bazar, Rescue Ops Underway
A four-story building collapsed in Mumbai's Bhendi Bazar area early Friday due to its dilapidated condition.

A four-storey building partially collapsed at the Bhendi Bazar area of south Mumbai in the early hours of Friday, said the officials. The building was vacant and there have been no casualties, the official said, adding fire brigade personnel reached the site and are clearing the rubble.
The incident took place at around 12:30 am on the Nishanpada Road near Khoja Jamat Khana, according to an official, reported PTI.
According to preliminary information, the building was in dilapidated condition and was vacant, he added. Five fire brigade tenders were pressed to service to conduct a search-and-rescue operation.

To prevent any law and order situation, the police also rushed to the spot as locals gathered near the building in large numbers.
