Mumbai Police received another bomb threat targeting the airport. Earlier, a hoax email also threatened the airport and Taj Hotel. Searches found nothing. Investigations to trace culprits continue.

Mumbai Police received a bomb threat call earlier today warning of an imminent explosion at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The anonymous caller claimed the airport would be blown up, prompting swift action from law enforcement and bomb disposal units.

Upon receiving the threat, police teams, along with bomb squad experts, immediately conducted a thorough search of the airport premises. After an intensive operation spanning several hours, authorities confirmed that no suspicious items or explosive materials were found.
This incident comes shortly after a similar hoax threat was received by Mumbai Police just days ago. In that case, an email was sent to the Airport Police Station claiming that 7 RDX IEDs had been planted at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and the airport. The email read: "Urgent: 7 RDX IEDs at TAJ Hotel/Airport, Evacuate All Public/Staffs Soon!"
It further stated that the alleged attack was to commemorate the “unjust hanging of Afzal Guru and Savukku Shankar.” Following the email, thorough searches were conducted at both locations—Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Colaba—but nothing suspicious was found.
A case was registered against an unidentified person under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for criminal intimidation and public mischief. Investigations are underway to trace both the email sender and the recent anonymous caller.
