Moradabad Authorities Conduct Demolition Drive Against Illegal Construction: VIDEO

Property owners were given time to remove encroachments and appeal orders before the demolitions, which occur 3-4 days a week, according to the Moradabad Development Authority.

Authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad conducted a demolition drive against illegal construction in the district on Thursday.

The schedule for the demolition drive was prepared in April and will continue till July, an official told ANI. The property owners were given time to remove the encroachment, the official said, adding time was also allowed for the appeals against the orders.

"...We made the roster in April, and it will continue until July. This demotion drive is being conducted for 3-4 days a week... We also give them time to remove the encroachment on their own, and we take action after that," said Secretary of Moradabad Development Authority Anju Lata.
