According to police, the girl was lured and taken to Kerala under false pretences. The investigation revealed that two young men from Prayagraj were directly involved in her abduction and have since been arrested. Sharma stated, "The girl was misled and taken to Kerala for religious conversion. Two men from Prayagraj have been arrested in the case, and efforts are underway to apprehend others involved from Kerala." He added that significant breakthroughs are expected soon as the investigation progresses.
The case came to light after the girl's family filed a police complaint alleging that a Muslim youth had harassed and manipulated her before taking her away. An FIR has been registered, and a comprehensive investigation is underway.
